Provenance: Occurs naturally only within the Cape Fynbos Biome, Western Cape, South Africa
Aromatic profile: Powerful and fruity aroma. Notes of sweet earth, apricot. Boozy, honeyed and herbaceous. Soft floral and spice.
Points of interest: Cape Chamomile is covered in a mass of white flower-heads in spring, and most distinctive when covered in fluffy white fruiting heads from late spring to early summer. Cape Chamomile is a member of the genus Eriocephalus, a woody, evergreen and highly aromatic shrub that looks quite unlike its namesake. This Fynbos owes it’s name to it’s yield of azuline rich oil, which exhibits a magical royal blue hue.
